Karthik was a great asset to our department. He took on all the complex cases with abandon, treating to a very high standard and with excellent results. He was the first UK user of the Walrus balloon guide catheter and actively recruited into trials and registry. He was loved by the angio staff and clinical staff in equal measure and has been a loss since he has left.

It was a pleasure working alongside Dr Vanchilingham for two years at the Glasgow Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Dr helped with my training during the start of my Interventional Neuroradiology Nursing career. Dr has always been patient and possesses a great talent for educating staff in this speciality, he would often hold education sessions for staff and I always felt able to ask him questions with no judgement. Dr would go above and beyond for his patients and consistently displayed great communication skills, always willing to assist for the greater success of the team/service. In addition to his professional skills he would always bring a positive attitude and uplifting energy to our workplace. In conclusion Dr Vanchilingham is a reliable team member and a valuable asset to any team, I am confident he will continue to achieve great things in his professional career.

Dr Vanchilingam is an excellent and technically highly skilled diganostic and interventional neuroradiologist. His understanding of all aspects of neurovascular diseases is unsurpassed and his dedication to his patients is admirable. It has been my pleasure to work with Dr Vanchilingam for several years at the Royal London Hospital, part of the world famous Barts NHS Trust, and the pre-eminent institution for neuroradiology and stroke in Great Britain. Here I have witnessed first-hand is unwavering dedication to provide world class care to his patients with compassion and diligence.
